What coverage is excluded from the Wedding Insurance Protector Plan?
Typically, events that have any of the following activities are not eligible for our program: rides, mechanical devices, inflatable recreational devices, dunk tanks, bungee operations/equipment, petting zoos, live animals, water sports, fireworks, pyrotechnics (including sparklers) or flammable sky lanterns. If your event will have one of these exclusions, call us at 513.984.5255, because we have other companies who might be able to provide coverage.
How far in advance can I purchase Wedding Insurance?
Coverage can be purchased as early as 2 years before your wedding day and as late as 24 hours before your event. We recommend you purchase coverage as soon as you begin making deposits and purchases for this event. Purchases already made can be covered provided you have receipts for them and you did not know of any impending or existing claim situations when you purchased insurance.
What is the cost of Wedding Insurance?
The cost of Wedding Insurance varies based on what types of coverages you need but most policies range from $160 to $1,025.
What does liability insurance cover?
Liability insurance is an optional coverage that can provide coverage for bodily injury, property damage, and personal injuries to third parties at the location of your event. You also have the option to include liquor liability coverage, which protects you from alcohol-related suits brought because of an intoxicated guest who was served alcohol at a wedding you hosted.
You may add your Venue(s) as Additional Insured at no additional cost.
What is meant by aggregate liability?
Aggregate liability is the maximum amount that can be paid out in claims in a policy period.
Example: If your limits are $1M/$2M aggregate liability, this means that the max payout amount for one claim is $1M, but the max payout amount for the entire policy is $2M.
What does the liquor liability insurance cover?
Liquor liability coverage may be added to the liability coverage you purchase for a nominal fee. Liquor liability coverage is designed to protect you and your immediate family against alcohol-related accidents. For example, if an accident is caused by an intoxicated guest at the event site, that could result in liability for you. Liquor liability coverage is available up to the liability limit on the policy.
